The Olds junior B Stingers lacrosse team didn't make it past their first and only playoff game, losing 16-10 to the Calgary Axemen-Mavericks on July 6.
The team finished the regular season in sixth place in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League with a final record of 5-7-0, not including the playoff game loss.
The good news is Olds will host a field lacrosse tournament on July 27 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. with 34 teams competing on five fields across the community.
Three Stingers teams, including the peewee, midget and senior ladies team, will take part in the tournament.
Other field lacrosse days in Alberta include July 20 in Red Deer, Aug. 11 in Calgary, Aug. 24 in Edmonton and Sept. 14 in Okotoks.
