The Sundre U-12 soccer team played well in its district finals over the weekend, but will not be advancing to provincials.
The Big Country Soccer Association district finals were held in Acme and Linden and included the top four teams from the west and the top four teams from the east in the league.
The team finished third in the west, said Heidi Werdal, representative for the team.
She said the team played against Three Hills on June 22 and lost 4-1, adding that the record was 5-2-1 for the regular season.
The winning team in each division of the district finals is heading to provincials.
