Nine Olds Koinonia Christian School athletes have qualified for the cross country running zones, which take place today (Oct. 8) at Strathcona-Tweedsmuir School in Okotoks.

Following are local results from the cross country divisionals, held in Sundre on Oct.

INNISFAIL – The Innisfail Hurricanes is kicking off the 2019 water polo season with an invitational 12U tournament. The event takes place at the Innisfail Aquatic Centre on Oct. 19 and 20.

Two women are the A&W Olds College Broncos Athletes of the Week for Sept. 23-29. They are first-year Olds College Broncos badminton student-athlete Priyanna Ramdhani and second-year equine science student-athlete Emily Pugsley.

At least a couple of École Olds High School (ÉOHS) cross country team members stand a good chance of advancing beyond zones which take place today at Strathcona-Tweedsmuir School in Okotoks, according to Jana Kemmere, one of the team's four coaches.

Chinook’s Edge School Division held the annual cross country divisionals in Sundre at Snake Hill on Oct. 1, with several local students placing among top spots.

INNISFAIL – Students at Innisfail Middle School and from across the region had a chance to show their competitive side at the Chinook’s Edge North Athletic Association Cross-Country Running Championship.
