They are “rag tag” no more.

A number of the area’s young golfing talents put on a dazzling display last weekend during the annual Club Championships at the Innisfail Golf Club. Cara Vanderham, 18, shot 160 over the two rounds Aug.

For Innisfail’s Shirley Thomas the third time is certainly the charm. The 77-year-old mother of seven, grandmother of 15 and great-grandmother of 12, entered her third Alberta 55 Plus Summer Games last month in Fairview.
