MOUNTAIN VIEW COUNTY - The county's agricultural service board (ASB) has approved an extension of funding for several community projects until 2021 due to the pandemic.
Those projects include the Carstairs & District 4-H Sale ($500), Olds Regional Exhibition rural youth development program ($10,000), Ag for Life rural safety unit ($23,000), and Sundre Rodeo and Race Association new hand railing for grandstand ($5,000).
“This extension will afford us the opportunity to get into classrooms and communities in Mountain View County in the spring of 2021,” said Beth Halford, with Ag for Life. “We have an important message to share regarding farm and rural safety and we know that children and families in Mountain View County will benefit from this safety information.”
The ASB is made up of appointed members of the district’s agriculture community and council councillors.
