Ryan Minor, the Baltimore Orioles infielder who became part of baseball history when he replaced Cal Ripken at the end of his record-setting consecutive games streak in 1998, has died. He was 49.

NEW YORK (AP) — Paula Murphy, a Hall of Fame racer and the first woman licensed to drive a Funny Car, died Thursday. She was 95. The National Hot Rod Association announced Murphy's death on Friday. It did not provide any details.

MEXICO CITY (AP) — Cristina Pacheco, the foremost chronicler of street life in Mexico City for half a century, died Thursday at 82.

Walt McGrory, a guard for the Wisconsin men’s basketball team from 2017-21, has died after a battle with bone cancer. He was 24. A message posted Monday on McGrory’s Instagram account announced that he had died Saturday.

NEW YORK (AP) — James McCaffrey, who voiced “Max Payne” in the popular video game franchise and also starred in television shows including “Rescue Me,” has died, according to his agent. He was 65.
