GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) — Former North Carolina State and Furman coach Dick Sheridan, a member of the College Football Hall of Fame, died Thursday. He was 81.

BOSTON (AP) — John Berylson, an American businessman known for his enthusiastic ownership of the English soccer team Millwall, has died. He was 70.

TORONTO — Kirk Howard, founder of the quintessentially Canadian publishing house Dundurn Press, has died. The publisher confirms Howard died on June 30 at age 80.

HONG KONG (AP) — Coco Lee, a Hong Kong-born singer and songwriter who had a highly successful career in Asia, has died by suicide, her siblings said Wednesday. She was 48.

LONDON (AP) — John Berylson, an American businessman and owner of English soccer team Millwall, has died. He was 70. His death was announced by the second-division London team, which said Berylson had “lost his life in a tragic accident" on Tuesday.

BEIJING (AP) — Yan Mingfu, a former top Communist Party figure who acted as an envoy to pro-democracy protesters in Beijing's Tiananmen Square in 1989 and was forced out after the protests were crushed, has died, according to Chinese news reports.

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — Vince Tobin, who coached the Arizona Cardinals to their first playoff win in 51 years in 1998, has died. He was 79. The Cardinals said Tobin died Monday morning at his Arizona home.

PARIS (AP) — Leon Gautier, the last surviving member of an elite French unit that joined U.S. and other Allied forces in the D-Day invasion to wrest Normandy from Nazi control, has died. He was 100.
