MONTREAL — As the Montreal Alouettes flew into a cloud of uncertainty over the team’s ownership situation, the frustration started to take its toll on general manager Danny Maciocia.

Darnell Sankey is heading to the XFL. A CFL source said Wednesday that the veteran middle linebacker has signed with the Arlington Renegades of the XFL. The source spoke on the condition of anonymity as the Renegades have yet to announce the move.

WINNIPEG — Pierre-Luc Dubois didn't feel rusty when the Winnipeg Jets were sent to their first shootout of the season. Dubois and Mark Scheifele scored in the shot contest to give the Jets a 3-2 victory over the Seattle Kraken on Tuesday.

NEW YORK (AP) — Tim Stutzle and Drake Batherson each scored in the shootout and the Ottawa Senators defeated the New York Islanders 3-2. Stutzle and Brady Tkachuk each recorded a goal and an assist in regulation.

TORONTO — It took Jakob Poeltl three games to find his role in the Toronto Raptors' offence. When he did, the results were impressive. Poeltl's 30 points were one shy of a career high as he led the Raptors past the Orlando Magic 123-113 on Tuesday.
