EDMONTON — The Edmonton Oilers have signed forward Jasper Weatherby to a professional tryout, the NHL team announced Thursday. The 26-year-old from Portland, Ore.

MONTREAL — Defenceman Kaiden Guhle has had his appendix removed according to the Montreal Canadiens. The team says he will be re-evaluated in seven days. Guhle was selected 16th overall by Montreal in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.
