July 18, 1954 - December 27, 2020
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved brother Jack on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at the Aspen Ridge Lodge in Didsbury, AB, after a lengthy battle with dementia. He was born John Leslie Doerr on July 18, 1954 in Rosthern, SK, moving to Carstairs in 1966. After graduating from High School he moved to Calgary working at the General Hospital and then to Co-op Travel. Jack travelled the world and had many stories to tell. He will be remembered for his mischievous ways, lots of teasing and kind heart.
He is lovingly remembered by his sisters, Donna (Danny) McKay, Connie (Ernie) Bradley, Colleen (Doug) Wagner; and many nieces and nephews. We would like to thank the staff at Aspen Ridge for all the wonderful care they gave Jack. We have the utmost respect, admiration and love for all of them.
At Jack’s request a family gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Alberta & N.W.T. 306, 10430 - 61 Avenue Edmonton, AB, T6H 2J3.
