1945 – 2023
It is with profound sadness that the Smith family announce that Sharon passed away June 6, 2023 at the age of 77 years, surrounded by her family after a brief battle with cancer.
Sharon was born in Turtleford Saskatchewan on August 6, 1945 to Bob and Dorothy Mick, a younger sister to Lorne and Margery.
Sharon and Jim were married on November 6, 1965, at the Bowden Institution Chapel, because it was built by her dad. Sharon loved her family and friends and was fiercely protective of them all whether related by blood or not. She was our biggest cheerleader. Her most cherished times were hanging out with kids, grandkids, family and friends. She loved it when we would all gather at their place at Silveridge RV Resort in Mesa, Arizona.
Sharon is survived by her husband Jim, of fifty-seven years, her son, Colin (Robyn) and children, Presley, Brynn, Devyn and Hudson; her daughter, Coralie (Stephen) and children Keegan (Sam), Ailey and Chohee (Jehun).
A Celebration of Sharon's Life was held at the Innisfail United Church on Monday, June 12, 2023. For those who were unable to attend the Celebration of Life for Mrs. Sharon Smith, you will be able to view on the Innisfail United Church webpage at www.innisfailuc.org
