Timothy ( Tim) Graham Burles

Timothy (Tim) Graham Burles, of Sundre, AB, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at the age of 67 years.

Singer, songwriter Tim Burles was born in 1952 in southern Alberta, Canada, the eldest son of renowned cutting horse trainer Bun Burles and his wife Dorothy. Growing up, Tim was surrounded by horses and music and went on to play, sing and write a variety of songs, including country and western, swing, blues and pop. As a young performer, he won two prestigious “Catch A Rising Star” competitions in 1986. After touring with The Burles Brothers, The Free Beer Band , and Straight, Clean & Simple, Tim kept involved with Radio 27.Com Orchestra while living on the ranch in Sundre.

Tim is survived by his son Pheonix Wraith, of Nelson, BC; daughter Dekoel Smith of Nanton, AB; four grandchildren Xxavier, Zzaeden, Clayton and Shelby; sister Donna Callison of High River, AB; brothers Tom and Dean Burles and special friend, B.Lynne Hoff as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and musicians .  Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed on Tim’s obituary at www.McInnisandHolloway.com.
