OLDS - Advance voting in the 2023 provincial election is now underway, including in the three district ridings, with the polls open from May 23 to 27.
The provincial general election vote takes place on May 29.
In the Innisfail-Sylvan Lake riding, an advance poll is open at the Co-op Shopping Centre at 4303 - 50th Street in Innisfail, running Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. There are also advanced polls in the riding in Delburne, Penhold and Sylvan Lake.
In the Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills riding, the advance poll in Olds is at the Olds Regional Exhibition - Cow Palace at 5116 - 54th Street running May 23-27 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. The advance poll at the Carstairs Community Hall runs May 26 and 27 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
There are also advance polls in Crossfield, Rockford and Three Hills in that riding.
In the Rimbey-Rocky Mountain View-Sundre riding, the advance poll in Sundre is the Sundre Community Centre on 2nd Avenue, running from May 23-27 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. There are also advanced polls in Rimbey and Rocky Mountain House.
“Elections Alberta will once again be providing Vote Anywhere Service during advanced voting days. This adds convenience, allowing electors to vote at any advance voting location in the province and receive the ballot for their home electoral division,” chief electoral officer Glen Resler said in a press release issued today.

Results of the advanced polls are not made public until after polls close in the general vote on May 29. As of 11:15 a.m. today Elections Alberta estimates 34,156 votes had been cast at advance polls.
There are a total of 17 candidates running for election in the three district ridings.
In the Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills, incumbent UCP candidate Nathan Cooper is facing off against NDP candidate Cheryl Hunter Loewen, Independence Party of Alberta candidate Katherine Kowalchuk, Wildrose Loyalty Coalition candidate Cameron Tatlock, and Solidarity Movement of Alberta candidate Judy Bridges.
In the Innisfail-Sylvan Lake, incumbent UCP candidate Devin Dreeshen is facing off against Independence Party of Alberta candidate David Reid, NDP candidate Jason Heistad, Solidarity Movement of Alberta candidate Brandon Pringle, Wildrose Independence Party candidate Jeevan Mangat, and Reform Party candidate Randy Thorsteinson.
In the Rimbey-Rocky Mountain House-Sundre, incumbent UCP candidate Jason Nixon is facing off against Alberta Advantage Party candidate Carol Nordlund Kinsey, independent candidate Fred Schwieger, independent candidate Tim Hoven, NDP candidate Vance Buchwald, and Wildrose Loyalty Coalition candidate Tami Tatlock.
