An anonymous donor is making it easier for students affected by last year's floods in Alberta to attend Olds College. The donor has helped develop bursaries that would cover the full cost of tuition for most of the school's programs for up to four students who have been accepted to the college for full-time studies. The bursaries will cover up to $5,000 per year and will be awarded based on a student's financial needs. This new bursary program comes on the heels of support the donor provided last year to a student from High River affected by the floods who wanted to attend the college. The donor also wants to see others come forward to help grow the bursary fund for any students affected by the June 2013 flooding. The college has stated it can match any donations made to the fund dollar-for-dollar through a Government of Alberta program.
