Armed robbery at liquor store

Rocky Mountain Liquor was hit by an armed robbery May 8 and Olds RCMP are asking for your help to find the suspect. This marks the second time in about four months an armed robbery has occurred there. The last one occurred on Jan. 31.

Rocky Mountain Liquor was hit by an armed robbery May 8 and Olds RCMP are asking for your help to find the suspect.

This marks the second time in about four months an armed robbery has occurred there. The last one occurred on Jan. 31.

This latest incident at 10:58 p.m. when a male entered the store.

"Brandishing a knife, the male jumped the counter and cornered the employee. The male demanded cash as well as the employee's watch," an RCMP news release says.

"The male left the store with about $190 cash, the watch and several bottles of liquor. The male was observed driving away in a black two-door car."

Police say the suspect is a clean-shaven Caucasian with "lighter-coloured eyes." He is between 6'0" - 6'3" tall and weighs about 230 pounds.
