Assault charges have been laid in an incident that Olds RCMP are describing as "road rage."

Cpl. Michael Black says assault charges have been laid against Jim Cammaert, 45, of Sundre, in relation to an incident that occurred March 11 in a parking lot in the Cornerstone shopping area.

"Cammaert confronted another driver in a parking lot over rocks being thrown up from a vehicle and hitting the vehicle of Cammaert," Black says.

He says minor injuries occurred in the case.

Olds RCMP are reminding residents to make sure that all valuables are removed from their vehicles and that those vehicles are securely locked in the wake of an incident last week.

On March 15, some change was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 4700 block of 52nd Street in Olds.
