Olds RCMP are investigating an attempted robbery that occurred at the Circle K gas station and convenience store at about 2:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 3.
The suspect may have been armed.
"A male suspect entered the store and demanded that the clerk give him money from the register," an RCMP news release says.
"The male did not present a weapon but indicated that he had one in his possession. The suspect became startled and fled the location without taking any cash or merchandise."
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, about 5 feet 5 inches tall, with a slender build and medium length brown hair. He was wearing a dark-coloured scarf over his face, a maroon Roots sweatshirt and light blue or grey shorts.
