A bird forced nearly 3,000 Olds customers to be without power for about half an hour Monday morning (July 9), says FortisAlberta director of customer experience Jennifer MacGowan.
MacGowan says a bird hit a power line that feeds about 2,900 customers.
Power was out from 8:10 a.m. to about 8:40 a.m.
"We were able to get the power back on quickly while we made repairs in the background," MacGowan says.
