BOWDEN - For the most part, this year's edition of Bowden Daze was pretty peaceful, Olds RCMP Cpl. Courtney Harding says.

The annual rodeo took place July 27-29 at the rodeo grounds just south of town.

Olds RCMP and Innisfail Traffic Services personnel patrolled the area.

"Overall, a good weekend was reported by RCMP members," Harding says.

However, police dealt with a few situations.

On July 28, Innisfail Traffic Services personnel conducted a checkstop on Highway 2A.

As a result,  a 34-year-old Saskatchewan man faces two impaired driving charges. He's scheduled to appear in provincial court on Aug. 20.

Olds RCMP officers issued two tickets for possession of open liquor tickets and one ticket for urinating in public.

Early on Saturday, July 29, Olds RCMP received reports that about 10 adults were causing a disturbance and fighting at the Bowden Daze grounds. RCMP attended the scene. No charges were laid.
