The Boys and Girls Club of Olds and Area has received more than $1,400 as a result of an ice cream product promotion from the local Sobeys store.
Under the Canada Screams for Ice Cream event, Olds and area Sobeys customers made $2 donations for ice cream. A total of $1,426.71 was raised as a result, with the goal being to provide healthy meals and snacks for the club.
In addition, as part of a pay-it-forward program, the club received a $500 gift card, which it donated to the Mountain View Food Bank.
