OLDS - Residents and businesses in Olds are being encouraged to boil their water after a power failure at Mountain View Regional Water Services Commission's water treatment plant, according to an alert issued by Alberta Emergency Alert Sunday.
"Due to continued discoloration, the Town of Olds is under a Boil Water Advisory due to a power failure at the Mountain View Regional Water Services Commission's water treatment plant," the alert, sent at 4:54 p.m. Oct. 29 said.
"All residents and businesses within town limits are encouraged to bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute prior to any consumption," the alert stated.
