From July 24 to 31, Olds RCMP responded to a wide variety of calls.

Olds RCMP responded to 140 occurrences from July 24 to 31. Those calls were in regard to everything from suspicious people to frauds, theft, and two-hit-and-run cases.

From July 24 to 31, Olds RCMP responded to a wide variety of calls.

They responded to 140 occurrences, including two assaults, one break and enter, two instances of disturbing the peace, two cases of hit and run, three alleged frauds, and one case of alleged identity fraud.

Other calls included eight cases of mischief to property/obstruction of the lawful use and enjoyment of property, one allegation of possessing property obtained by crime over $5,000, nine reports of suspicious people around vehicles or property and 10 collisions.

One collision at Craig's store was reported to Olds RCMP on July 31.

"Based on our investigation an 87-year-old female was operating an SUV at the time of the collision with the building," Cpl. Courtney Harding says. (The) investigation is ongoing."

On July 29, two vehicles -- a 1995 Ford Ranger and a 2008 GMC Sierra truck -- had their side mirrors smashed by unknown suspect(s) while parked on 51st and 52nd streets in Olds.
