Charges have been laid in regard to an incident in which $25,000 worth of damage was done to an Olds business.
Boyd Raymond Fleming has been charged with break and enter and mischief.
He's expected to appear in court in Didsbury this coming Monday (Oct. 27), Olds RCMP Staff Sgt. Joe Sangster says.
The break-in occurred Aug. 31 at Torrock Towing.
Judy Schlichenmayer co-owns the company along with her son, Darcy.
She says the front office, boardroom, common area and bathroom were trashed.
In addition, she says, the accused cut himself “and bled all over the place” so all the furniture as well as items in the bathroom had to be thrown out.
Also, flooding occurred as a result of the damage in the bathroom so the floor has to be replaced, along with at least part of the walls.
As reported earlier by The Albertan, Schlichenmayer says total damage is estimated to be about $25,000. She has insurance for the building but she has to pay the $4,000 deductible. Building renovations were expected to begin this week. [email protected]
