DIDSBURY - Thirteen-year-old Hailey Sanregret is hoping to bring a little joy to the seniors living in the Seasons Retirement home in Olds this Christmas.

For the past several months, she has been handcrafting key chains out of melty beads.

“I wanted to bring extra joy to the residents this year because of the differences this Christmas and hopefully it will bring a smile to their faces,” she said.

She plans to distribute more than 60 of the chains to the seniors before Christmas. Each chain also includes a Christmas best wishes message from Hailey, a Didsbury-area resident.

Hailey’s mother Lindsay works at the Seasons Retirement home. She says she is very proud of her daughter’s project.

“Not only does that bring so much warmth to my own heart but I see the joy in her eyes too,” said Lindsay. “Everyone needs a little joy in their lives now more than ever.”
