OLDS — Will town council “park” purchase of an electric pickup truck?
That possibility is up for discussion Dec. 13 when council is expected to receive a report on such a purchase.
The matter came up for discussion Dec. 6 during council’s policies and priorities meeting as councillors delved into budget.
Coun. Daniel Daley referenced earlier discussion about it.
“What was our decision on the electric pickup for now,” Daley asked. “Did we not decide to park it, as the pun comes to mind?”
Chief administrative officer Michael Merritt said a report on the possible purchase was expected from a staff member.
Mayor Judy Dahl said it was her understanding that there was an issue with charging up the vehicle.
“I don’t know, but I’m looking forward to the report,” Dahl said.
