Olds Fire Department officials say the cause of a fire that occurred at Sundial Growers last week is not believed to have been suspicious.

There were no reported injuries to any workers or firefighters.

The fire was reported May 21 at about 2:30 a.m. at the company's facility at 6102 48th Ave. in the southeast industrial park.

The fire department responded with  two engines and an aerial ladder truck with a total of 14 firefighters. When they got there, light smoke in a corridor led firefighters to a small fire in a room.

Fire officials say they were able to contain the fire to within that one room and put it out quickly.

"Crews ventilated the structure thoroughly and facility operations were not affected," a news release says.

Crews were on scene for about two hours dealing with the matter.

"Early detection and rapid action of site personnel were positive contributors to outcome of the incident,"  the release adds.

This is the second fire reported at the Sundial facility. Another fire was reported in the facility on Dec. 10 last year.
