Olds Fire department and ambulance crews, along with RCMP responded to a 911 call of a fire at Hildebrand Motors late Wednesday afternoon.
Workers doing renovations at the building noticed a small fire in the roof area. They extinguished it, but called 911 just to be sure it was out and there was no possibility of further flames.
Firefighters checked out the area with thermal cameras and determined it was safe – there was no sign of fire.
The call came in at about 4:30 p.m.
Hildebrand staff were evacuated and stood around near the east edge of the parking lot watching the activity. Some recorded it with cellphones.
Fire Chief Lorne Thompson says there were no injuries.
