OLDS — Town spending for the first six months of the year was basically right on track, according to finance director Sheena Linderman.
Linderman delivered a report on town spending from January through June during council’s Aug. 28 meeting.
“Fifty per cent of the way through the year our budget is now 42 per cent spent and the capital budget is 13 per cent spent,” Linderman said.
“Of course, most of our capital happens in the months of July and August and we’ll see that in the next one.
“At this point, everything is tracking as it should be,” she added.
According to a revenue and expense statement in Linderman’s report, in the operating budget, total revenue as of Dec. 31, 2022 was $32,979,058. The 2023 budget forecast total revenue of $33,127,660.
Remaining dollars to be spent in the operating budget were reported to be $9,646,393.
Total expenditures as of Dec. 31, 2022 were $37,761, 952. The 2023 operating budget called for total expenditures of $33,127,660. A total of $19,282,473 remained to be spent.
Council voted to accept Linderman’s report as information.
