Fleeing break and enter suspects nabbed by Olds RCMP

OLDS - RCMP say two men are facing charges in relation to a break and enter at an Olds business in recent weeks.

At approximately 2 a.m. on Dec. 29, Olds RCMP were alerted to a break and enter in progress at a local business.

"Officers attended and surrounded the business, trapping the suspects. The suspects attempted to flee the scene by jumping a fence, however, the officers were able to apprehend the suspects," police said in a press release issued Wednesday.

Red Deer resident Edwin Maraya, 54, and Innisfail resident Rhomer Camelotes, 45, have both been charged with the following:

• break and enter with intent to commit and indictable offence;

• disguised with intent to commit an offence;

• possession of break and enter tools:

• mischief under $500:

• theft under $5,000: and

• resist/obstruct a peace officer.

Both men were released on conditions and are scheduled to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Didsbury on Feb. 12.
