Holy Trinity School will be hosting a grand opening Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. featuring government ministers and other dignitaries.
Members of the Knights of Columbus, along with the Archbishop of Edmonton will also be in attendance.
Blake Krause, principal at the school, said following speeches by dignitaries and a ribbon cutting the archbishop will lead the group through a blessing of the school.
“The archbishop will lead us through a liturgy of the word so … it will be scripture reading and a homily and some prayers,” he said.
Krause said everyone has enjoyed the new school thus far.
“It's been great. The kids have really enjoyed it. It's been a really busy start trying to get ready for this grand opening but … the kids are excited about learning, excited about the new school and we're starting to grow into a larger community,” he said.
The school has 96 students enrolled, more than double the number of students the school had last year. It's also 14 more students than projected for this September.
