The Olds Grizzlys have traded Jared Power.

The 19-year-old forward had been sitting out the season after asking to be moved. However, as head coach Adam Redmond told the Albertan, the club wanted the right offer, and wasn't going to move him for just anyone.

In the end, they swung a deal with the Battlefords North Stars of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League for forward Dylan Williamson, born in 1998.

Williamson, 6 feet 2 inches and 185 pounds, who is originally from Calgary, started the season with the Calgary Canucks before being traded to the North Stars.

With the Canucks, he scored 12 goals and racked up nine assists for 21 points in 26 games. During that time, Williamson also amassed 84 penalty minutes. With the North Stars, he played just one game and didn't obtain any points.

Williamson played one season in the WHL for the Prince Albert Raiders before joining the Canucks.

"The Olds Grizzlys are very excited about this offensive addition and would like to welcome Dylan to Olds," a Grizzlys news release says.

The club also thanked Power for "his hard work and commitment to the organization," adding they "wish him all the best in North Battleford and his future hockey endeavours."
