The Olds Grizzlys have a tough task ahead of them tonight as they face off against the Brooks Bandits at the Sportsplex. Game time is 7 p.m.
The Bandits are in second place in the Alberta Junior Hockey League's eight-team Viterra South division, with 28 wins, 11 losses and one overtime loss in 40 games, while the Grizzlys sit dead last in the division with 15 wins, 24 losses and one overtime loss, also in 40 games.
The Grizzlys and Bandits will tangle again this Friday in Brooks.
Then on Sunday, the Grizzlys will host the Canmore Eagles. As of Monday, Jan. 8, the sixth-place Eagles only sat five points above the Grizzlys with 17 wins, 20 losses and 2 overtime losses in 39 games.
The Grizzlys are glad to be back in familiar surroundings after suffering two back-to-back defeats on the road late last week.
On Thursday, they lost 6-2 to the Saints in Spruce Grove. On Friday, they were hammered 7-3 by the Bobcats in Lloydminster.
