Legion presents essay, poetry, poster contest awards

On May 28, the Olds Legion presented branch level awards to winners and runners-up for its essay, poetry and poster contests during its Honours and Awards night. Unfortunately, not all those who won were present to receive their awards.

Unfortunately, not all those who won were present to receive their awards.

Nadine Jorgenson took first place, branch level, in the intermediate essay contest.

In the junior colour poster competition, Logan Kinnear placed first, branch level, and Shayla Wolfe took second, also branch level.

In the intermediate colour poster competition, Kourtney Asaris placed first, branch level, Nicole Verhoef placed second, also branch level, and Brynn Smith received honourable mention.

Brooke Jackson took first place, branch level, in the senior colour poster category and Melody Fuller placed first, branch level, in the junior black and white poster competition.

In the intermediate black and white poster category, Hanna Bratrud took first place, branch level, while C.J. Bugaoisan placed second, branch level. Shelby Hagerty received honourable mention.
