OLDS - An Olds bowling team has qualified to represent Zone 2 in the Alberta 55 Plus Winter Games, scheduled to be held in Edmonton April 7-10.
All will be competing in the singles events in their respective categories.
They qualified by placing second during a competition Jan. 23 in Olds.
They were presented medals by Linda Tranquir of Drumheller. Team members include Les Markham, Helen Jorgensen, John Tarapaski, Bill Clancy and Gordon Taylor.
If they do well in Edmonton, they could qualify for the Canada 55 Plus Games, scheduled to be held Aug. 23-26 in Kamloops. All these people bowl at The Bowl in Olds.
