Tim Hortons stores in Olds and other communities in Mountain View County did their part for the Humboldt Broncos junior hockey club.
Sixteen people riding in the team's bus to a playoff game were killed and 13 were injured -- including Graysen Cameron of Olds -- when the bus and a semi-trailer collided about 200 kilometres northeast of Saskatoon April 6.
A spokesman says collectively, all five stores in Mountain View County raised $5,293 by selling specially made doughnuts featuring green and yellow sprinkles -- the Broncos' team colours.
Tim Hortons says nationwide, the company raised more than $800,000. It says all proceeds will go directly to support the hockey club.
