The Olds RCMP detachment is currently investigating two thefts that happened over the last five weeks.
During the night between Feb. 11 and 12, a Chevy Silverado parked near the intersection of 51 Street and 52 Avenue was left on catalogues and blocks after thieves made away with the car's tires and rims.
“The tires cost in total just over $1,000. They were all-terrain tires, 16 inches,” said Const. Brendan Ward, Olds RCMP.
The detachment is looking for information about the theft.
Copper and tools theft
Over $5,000 worth of tools and copper was stolen at a gravel pit near Torrington during the night between March 5 and 6.
“The tools were stolen from a shed and a gravel washer was stripped of its copper,” said Ward.
