Rod MacLean will take over as principal at Ecole Olds Elementary School on Jan. 6.
MacLean comes to EOES with 15 years of experience as a school administrator, including serving as vice-principal and principal for the last 13 years at River Valley School in Sundre.
MacLean will take over from Debbie Thompson, who has accepted the position of dean of animal sciences and horticulture at Olds College.
Leslie Cooper-Shand will take over as acting principal at River Valley School until the end of the current 2013-14 school year. The principal position for that school will be posted in the spring.
