OLDS - In this challenging year, the joy of music is more important than ever.
The Olds and District Music Teachers Association is delighted to announce we have given out 25 scholarships to those students who received the highest examination marks for the 2019/2020 teaching year.
In addition, thanks to the generosity of our many local and area businesses, individuals, and organizations, we were also able to award 15 additional honourable mention scholarships.
This year, $3,600 was awarded to our students! We are pleased to be able to give recognition and encouragement to these students and wish them much success in their continued music studies. Congratulations to each recipient!
Normally we present our scholarships at an annual November recital, giving our students an opportunity to share their music as well as publicly honour our award winners.
