OLDS — A former Olds College employee is coming back to the college, this time as its new chief people & culture officer.
Mara-Lee Moroz will assume her new role on Feb. 1, 2024.
Her appointment was announced by the Olds College of Agriculture & Technology this month. She succeeds Melissa Maschke, the interim director of people & culture.
Crystal Steeves, the college’s director of marketing and communications says the role has existed at the college for more than a decade. She said it’s equivalent to the post of director of human resources.
“With 25 years of dedicated experience in human resources within the post-secondary education sector, Moroz brings a wealth of expertise to her new role,” a college statement said.
“Her tenure at Red Deer Polytechnic since October 2008, coupled with earlier significant roles at Olds College as senior development officer and human resources manager, showcases her commitment to fostering excellence in her communities and educational institutions.
“A longtime active resident of the town of Olds, Moroz's local ties align with the college’s commitment to enriching its local community and contributing to its vibrant spirit.”
