OLDS — Olds College of Agriculture & Technology has announced a new dean of its School of Life Science & Business: Amos Ngai.
“Dean Ngai brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the role, having served as Associate Dean at Bow Valley College and most recently at Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT),” a news release issued by the college says.
Ngai began his role on Nov. 12.
He holds a master of education degree specializing in learning technologies, a bachelor of geography in urban studies and has earned a CPHR designation, along with more than 10 years of post-secondary instructor and administration experience.
“We are thrilled to welcome Mr. Ngai to our leadership team,” Dalin Bullock, interim vice-president of academic said in a prepared statement.
“His extensive background in higher education, coupled with a strong commitment to integrating innovative learning technologies, positions him to lead the School of Life Science and Business into an exciting new chapter.”
“I am excited to contribute to the continued success of the School of Life Science and Business,” Ngai said in a prepared statement.
“Olds College has a great history and is the first choice of students for agricultural-focused education.
“My focus will be to continue that legacy while providing our learners with opportunities to apply their skills in emerging and traditional areas of the agricultural industry.”
