OLDS — Town council has chosen who will sit on various boards and committees from next month until late October next year.
Council made those decisions during its annual organizational meeting, held Oct. 26 in town council chambers.
During that meeting, council also affirmed that its regular council and committee-of-the-whole meetings will continue to be held at 1 p.m. in council chambers.
The following town councillors will sit on boards, commissions or committees.
Central Alberta Economic Partnership: Mayor Judy Dahl; business representative to be determined.
Central Alberta mayors, reeves group: Mayor Dahl.
Community Futures/Central Alberta Partnership (term began this past February and continues until the town’s next organizational meeting in October, 2025): Coun. Darren Wilson.
Economic Development Action Committee: Councillors Dan Daley and Harvey Walsh.
Emergency Advisory Committee: all members of council.
Inter-Municipal Cooperation Committee: Mayor Dahl plus councillors Willson and Wanda Blatz.
Mid-sized Towns Mayors’ Caucus: Mayor Dahl.
Mountain View Regional Waste Management Commission: Coun. James Cummings; alternate Coun. Heather Ryan.
Mountain View Regional Water Services Commission: Coun. Blatz; alternate Coun. Wilson.
Mountain View Seniors Housing Board: Coun. Wilson.
Olds & District Chamber of Commerce: Coun. Ryan.
Olds Health Professional Attraction and Retention Committee: Coun. Daley.
Olds Municipal Library Board: Coun. Walsh.
Olds Regional Exhibition Vision 250 Committee: Mayor Dahl; alternate Coun. Daley.
Parkland Regional Library: Coun. Walsh.
