OLDS — Seasons Retirement Communities has launched Seasoned with Love, a recipe book capturing treasured family recipes passed down through generations.

The book is a fundraising initiative, with proceeds going to the Mountain View Food Bank.

The books sell for a minimum $10 donation and can be picked up from any Seasons location including Seasons Olds Encore and Seasons Olds. The cookbooks will be available as long as supplies last.

Seasons Olds is located just south of the Olds Hospital and Care Centre. Seasons Encore is located on the west side of 57th Avenue at the north end of town.

“There is no better way to show your love than with a delicious home cooked meal, especially with recipes that are made from the heart,” a Seasons Retirement Communities news release says.

“This cookbook is a labour of love brought forth by the residents of Seasons Retirement Communities and gives you the option to recreate either a delicious appetizer, entrée or dessert -- or perhaps all three,” the release adds.

“The recipes will help you show your love to your special loved ones with many traditional recipes dating back 100 years.”
