OLDS — The Rotary Club of Olds has set up a new fundraiser.
It’s called the Fly The Flag fundraiser and it’s available to all Olds residents and those who live within 10 kilometres of the town.
For $75 (including set-up and take-down), they’ll provide you with a Canada flag you can fly on two occasions: the May long weekend and Canada Day.
Contact a Rotary Club member or email [email protected] for your flag.
The club was established in 2000.
Since then, it has supported a wide variety of events and causes including Rotary Youth Camps, awards at École Olds High School, the Christmas Angels, the gazebo project at the Olds Hospital and Care Centre, and Mountain View Lodge.
More recently, their support has included Rotary Athletic Park, the Olds Creek tree-planting project, support to Ukrainian families and the Mountain View Emergency Shelter Society building fund.
“We are very proud of the many community, vocational and international projects activities that we undertake to make Olds a better place,” a news release provided by Rotary member Trish Branter says.
“Through the enthusiastic cooperation and support of our members, businesses, and the Olds community at large, Rotary in Olds is FUN -- with a purpose."
