OLDS - Expect a rapid cool down today.
Environment Canada issued a weather advisory for the Airdrie – Cochrane – Olds - Sundre area Feb. 29 saying an approaching cold front means a sudden drop in temperatures by this afternoon.
“Temperatures may drop 15 to 20 degrees Celsius in less than an hour,” the advisory said.
People should be prepared if heading outside today.
The agency also said recent snow melt will freeze, leading to slippery conditions.
No advisory has been issued for the Red Deer - Ponoka - Innisfail – Stettler area.
