SCHMOOZING AT SHOWCASE — People browse through the offerings during the Olds Community Showcase at the Olds Sportsplex on Sept. 5. Patti Simoneau of the Olds Institute says this year’s event, during which people sign up for clubs and organizations, attracted 88 organizations — the most ever. It was difficult to say how many people turned out to sign up because they came and went, but Simoneau says there seemed to be more people checking out booths than in the past as well.
