Olds RCMP are investigating a series of thefts that occurred sometime during the night on July 23, which began with a break and enter on a property east of the Queen Elizabeth II Highway, where a Honda quad was stolen.
The suspect or suspects are presumed to have ridden north towards Highway 587 on the quad, making a stop at another residence, where a black 1994 Mitsubishi Mighty Max Truck was stolen.
The suspect or suspects later stole another truck, a black 2004 Ford, from a residence near Highway 587.
The Mitsubishi was recovered in a ditch on Rge. Rd. 270, but the suspect or suspects are presumed to be at large with the Honda quad and Ford truck.
Police are encouraging anyone with information regarding this matter to notify their local detachment.
Generator stolen from back of truck in Olds
A yellow and black Champion generator was stolen from the box of a truck parked on Silverthorn Road overnight on July 16.
Police are asking the public to keep an eye out for any suspicious activity involving the sale of such property.
Crops west of Olds damaged by joyride
A farmer in the Rge. Rd. 22 and Rge. Rd. 23 area discovered his field had been driven through during the night, damaging a portion of his crops.
Anyone with information on this matter is encouraged to notify police.
