Police received reports of the tagging on April 17 and 18. The reports primarily concerned graffiti in the Uptowne area.
"Culprits used black or white spray paint to scrawl what appears to be 'Cavana' accompanied with a stylized crown above it," an RCMP news release says. "'Cavana' is the most frequently used word but does appear with 'OG,' 'Baby' a stylized 'ZS,' 'GS' or some combination of those."

Brad Johnson, owner of The Paint Pot, has seen a surge in business lately as people have come into his shop for materials to get rid of the graffiti.
Johnson has some tips on how best to get rid of it.

"If it's painted, I'd have a little extra paint and slap a little paint over it whenever they do it," he says. "On something that's bare cinder block, you just basically use some sort of stripper to get it off."
Johnson suggests using a citrus-based chemical stripping agent to remove graffiti. He says that, along with a wire brush, should do the trick.
Johnson says that method should work even on a white or yellow surface that's been tagged with black graffiti. He says you just have to use enough of the original paint to cover over the space, once the remover and brush have done their job.
