OLDS - A high crime advisory alert was issued Wednesday for Olds,
“It has been noted that the Town of Olds has experienced an increase in mischief or theft activity in the last week,” the Dec. 6 Alberta RCMP RAVE alert said.
RCMP are asking the public to keep a lookout for suspicious activity in the area but to not attempt to interrupt a crime in progress or approach any suspicious persons or vehicles.
The public can view a crime map at https://crimestoppers.ab.ca/crimemap/ for approximate locations of crime in their area.
Call 911 for any activity in progress and mention the call is in response to a RAVE alert. For events that are not in progress, call 1-833-547-RAVE. Anyone wishing to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), online at www.P3Tips.com.
