Both Seasons Retirement Communities in Olds -- Seasons Olds and Seasons Olds Encore -- have donated $2,000 each to the Mountain View Food Bank Society for a total of $4,000 to help tackle summer hunger.
The donations were made on June 27.
"In years past, Seasons donated turkeys and hams to food banks during the holiday months," communications co-ordinator Jessica Rabaey says.
"Upon learning that food bank donations drastically decline over the summer, we decided to shift our corporate-giving efforts to help fight hunger at a time when donations are more urgently needed.
"We also want to use our platform in these communities to remind people that food banks need support year-round."
