OLDS — RCMP are asking for the public's help to solve an apparent attempted break-in to a business yesterday.

In a news release issued Tuesday, Police say the incident occurred on Oct. 16.

At about 1:15 a.m., Olds RCMP were alerted to a break-and-enter in progress at a local business in the 6500 block of 48th Avenue.

Security reported that two male suspects were on-site in a black car.

RCMP arrived on-scene and attempted to stop the suspect vehicle. However, it fled the scene. Nothing was reported missing from the business.

Shortly afterward, RCMP received a report of a vehicle on fire at the Olds College of Agriculture & Technology.

RCMP say this was the same vehicle that fled the break-in scene earlier.

They say suspects then stole another car and fled again.

Anyone with information on these incidents is asked to contact Olds RCMP at 403-556-3324 or their local police.

Tipsters wanting to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), online at www.P3Tips.com or by using the P3 Tips app available through the Apple App or Google Play Store.
